Hero of the Week award presented to Jim Maurer in 2009 by KNX Radio 1070 in recognition of his community service through piano music.

Six years of volunteer lobby pianist services provided to the public at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California, with a focus and mission towards promoting the various and valuable healing and therapeutic properties of Music Therapy.

Played piano for numerous community and Foundation events for Providence St. Joseph Medical Center at various locations, including The Universal Sheraton Hotel in Universal City, California, and The Castaways in Burbank, California.

Pianist for Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills for many years when Marty Fisher was the store manager.  Also, provided piano music during every Christmas season and for many in-store product events and fashion shows.
