Jennie Webb is an independent Los Angeles writer whose plays, including Anticipating Leftovers, Remodeling Plans, The Complete Story of the War, Men & Boxes, Tilting, Buying a House and Unclaimed Assets, have been presented on stages and in/at/around alternative venues throughout the U.S. and internationally at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.  Her works have been published by Heinemann Press and International Centre for Women Playwrights, and supported by the now defunct A.S.K. Theater Projects, The Playwrights Center in Minneapolis' prestigious PlayLabs, the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights and The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum.

At Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum she is currently playwright-in-residence, has created and runs "Botanicum Seedlings: A Development Series for Playwrights."  This new play program is focused on the needs of the playwright, supporting emerging and established writers across the country and around the globe.  Since 2002, Seedlings has presented over 80 readings and workshops of plays at various stages of — 50% written by women.

Jennie is also co-founder and an instigator of the Los Angeles Female Playwrights Initiative, an LA-based movement working to ensure that women playwrights are fairly represented on local stages and beyond, and a proud member of The Playwrights Union and LA's Rogue Machine Theatre, where her play Yard Sale Signs is receiving its world premiere.

She also works as freelance arts writer.
